Someone lightly dropped my VFR before I bought it, so the forks were slightly tweaked. I straightened them, and they worked well, except that I couldn't get fork seals to seal. So I replaced the stock forks with a set of Honda F3 forks. It was an EASY swap. The only modification was the holes in the fenders had to be altered slightly with a rat tail file to fit on the F3 forks.

Note the fork protectors and the multiple axle clamp bolts

Now I have preload adjustment and Damping adjustments. I shortened the stock F3 springs and installed a longer preload spacer. Doing so stiffened up the front forks so they carry the weight of the VFR and my 210 lbs nicely.

I would rate this modification as SWEET!
